Job summary

We assist all employers when they want to source public safety, housing and enterprise security skills and experience.RSR Justice are currently recruiting on behalf of a charity organisation based in Leicester for an Outreach Domestic Abuse Practitioner.
The purpose of this role is to plan and implement high quality support for women and children affected by all forms of domestic abuse.
This is a full time, permanent role and offers a salary of £22,990 per annum.

Main Duties:
* Identify and develop support strategies to meet the needs of women and children
* affected by domestic abuse in all forms, seeking support across services.
* Provide high quality case work, 1:2:1 support and advice to victims/survivors who are/have experienced DA.
* Provide safety planning, undertake regular risk and needs assessments.
* Work with women to identify their support needs and incorporate these into womens Individual Support Plans.
* Leading on referrals into the community team, you will develop and deliver a range of support services to women and their children.
Essential Requirements:
* Good general level of education.
* Good knowledge of DA issues and the statutory framework.
* Good understanding of referrals processes.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop good relationships with colleagues, volunteers, outside agencies and users of the service.
* Ability to speak at least one of the following languages Urdu, Hindi, Mirpuri, Punjabi Gujrati or Bengali Farzi, Pushtu, African languages in particular Somalian is desirable.
Role is subject to DBS check at the relevant level.
