This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Training & Development Manager to join a fantastic specialist sub-contractor.

About our Client

My client is a roofing & cladding specialist sub-contractor based in the North West. They work on projects up to £5million in value. They have an excellent reputation within this sector and are actively looking to add a Project Manager to their team.

Duties & Responsibilities

Ensure that we meet all mandatory training needs throughout the business
Provide a clear, deliverable pathway, to ensure each person meets or exceeds the Joint Competency Initiative (JCI) for the Building Envelope Sector, within an achievable and affordable timeframe.
Investigate and review skill gap analysis with each team member, highlighting specific areas of training that the member may not even be aware would be of benefit to them.
Develop applicable CPD training plans for every team member relating to their specific job role to ensure they meet the minimum required CPD hours.
Encourage and mentor each team member into understanding the benefits and being an active participant in their own training, learning and development to create career progression.
Provide a clear L&D pathway in line with mandatory and the aspirational wishes of team members.
Creating and delivering training face to face or remotely
Creating training modules on our online platform
Apply for training grants and funding where applicable
Manage and maintain the training matrix ensuring that all training is up to date for both directly employed and sub-contractors.
Build good working relationships with stakeholders
Build and maintain relationships with key training providers to enable preferential ratesAbout the Candidate

Must come from a L&D background
Experience within a similar role
Confident in using Microsoft programmes
Knowledge of construction related training
Natural coach and mentor
Approachable persona and excellent team player
Good communication skillsPoints of Appeal
