Job summary
Junior Software DeveloperTennants UK is looking for an enthusiastic software developer to assist with all functions of software coding and design, primarily for the critical number plate software we share with our customers. Working with other members of the software team, your primary focus will be to develop new features or bug fixes and respond to support requests from colleagues. You will have some practical experience, with a desire to learn new codebase and develop your software skills, or you will be a recent graduate who wishes to develop your career within the software sector. An eagerness to learn to enhance your career and skills is essential for the role so that you can become a valued member of the knowledge base within the Company.
Junior Software Developer Responsibilities:
Writing and maintaining code related to our software products and in-house systems
Troubleshooting software issues with customers and internally with colleagues
Working on minor bug fixes or new features
Monitoring the technical performance of internal systems
Responding to support requests from colleagues.
Junior Developer Requirements:
You will need to have:
Knowledge of C# and .NET
Basic programming experience
Basic knowledge of databases
Ability to learn and apply new software and technologies quickly
An ability to communicate the technical knowledge in simple terms to non-technical customers and colleagues.
Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment.
Knowledge of any of the following would be an advantage:
HTML and JavaScript
Perl
Git (version control system)
An interest in AI

Hours: Full Time, Permanent: 40 hours per week
Salary: C25,000 dependent upon experience
