Our Contingent Workforce Solutions (CWS) service acts as an extension of our clients' recruitment team and provides professional interim and temporary resources.
Our client, a major UK retail bank, provides every day banking services to over 17 million retail customers. The banks expertise and services span across Business Services, Corporate banking, Wealth Management, Group Functions, Retail and Investment Banking.
On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a UX Writer for a 6 month contract based in Edinburgh (remote for now due to COVID19.)
Purpose of the Role:
Responsible for developing the content strategy, executing the creation of content and managing stakeholder engagement to help create compelling, pleasing and comprehensible user experiences across a range of products, platforms and devices. Enabling the delivery of consistent, efficient and enjoyable user experiences.
As a UX Writer you will be responsible for:
Collaborates with product owners/managers, internal business stakeholders, operational teams, technology specialists and designers to define content requirements and strategy that best achieve business goals.
Provides written content related leadership within project team to ensure content strategies and approaches meet business objectives and align with user needs.
Writes and edits digital content that meets business/project goals and end user needs.
Develops and utilises clear, consistent nomenclature for tools and applications in collaboration with other UX Writers and design colleagues.
Collaborates on the selection and creation of new systems to organize new and existing content for assigned projects including site navigation.
Collaborates with other colleagues in the HCD team to support the definition of user models and written content for new/updated features and functionality in response to business requirements and user needs.
Works with other teams as needed to ensure the content strategy is effectively implemented across channels.
Ensures written content complies with corporate brand standards, web style guides and tone of voice guidelines.
Participate in content and application audits including gauging the usability of new and existing products and making constructive suggestions for change
Leads engagement with Legal, Compliance and Risk colleagues on the process for obtaining clearance/approvals for proposed copy and content.
Collaborates on the development of content style guides, content and messaging strategies, best practices and processes.
Partners with other writers within the organization to leverage and share ideas and make recommendations that apply broadly across multiple channels.
Reviews analytics and other sources of feedback to understand user behaviour to manage and shape content and messaging strategies.
Evaluates the usability of new and existing products from a content perspective, participating in user research activities and making constructive suggestions for change.
Participates in sprint/iteration planning, refinement, retrospectives/iteration reviews and other sessions as necessary
Enables an open collaborative environment by building and maintaining deep relationships with project stakeholders, creating an environment where all parties can be open and transparent about what they value, want and need
Promotes continuous improvement and looks for opportunities to improve in line with evolving new, cutting edge customer experience and user centric design methodologies
What we require from the candidate:
Have an extensive content portfolio demonstrating creative and analytical thinking and the delivery of effective solutions.
Extensive experience of delivering high quality and effective content for use in a variety of applications
Significant experience in supporting Human Centred Design (HCD) processes and creating content which supports effective user testing and concept communication
Significant experience in technical or marketing writing, product documentation or online publishing.
Experience working with development teams as part of the software development process.
Knowledge/experience of financial services products and services preferred.
Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
Effective writing, editing, and project management skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Experience of Agile delivery methods and teams
Strong communication and collaboration skills across all levels of an organisation with an ability to influence key stakeholders
Able to deliver against tight deadlines
This client will only accept workers operating via an Umbrella or PAYE engagement model.
