POSITION TITLE: Human Resources Generalist
SHIFT: Day
JOB STATUS:
Full-time
ESTABLISHMENT:
Cornwall
Under the direction of the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for various HR files of the unionized employees. Specific mandates will include attendance management, investigating, and writing employee letters, step 1 grievance reviews and updating the weekly forecast manning.The incumbent will ensure adherence to employment legislation, the collective agreement and company policies and procedures. The HR Generalist will be required to maintain data bases, create and maintain spreadsheets and assist employees with questions and concerns. They will support the department by performing various other HR related tasks.
College diploma in human resources management or equivalent related experience
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Team player and ability to work under pressure
Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion, confidentiality, accuracy
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Spoken French
