Job summary
Sewell Wallis are proud to be working with a global manufacturing business who are seeking an enthusiastic, work savy Group Assistant Accountant to join them on site at their offices in Hull!This role would suit a motivated individualwho is keen to learn and progress in the company. From the offset they will get involved in a variety of duties and responsibilities within the finance team which will include the following:
-Produce daily, weekly and monthly profit and reconciliation reports
-Get involved in ad-hoc duties
-Produce journals and assist with the management accounts
-Be on the ball when a problem arises and to work on solutions to resolve and overcome them
-Support the operational teams with financial information
-Allocate manufacturer accounts accordingly
-Provide system maintenance for the group as well as applying financial controls
The ideal candidate will be analytically minded and are hungry, yet humble in wanting to push themselves and drive their career forward whilst supporting the rest of the team. They will also have a great attention to detail when it comes to problem solving and are confident in being able to express the resolution to their peers and managers above them. It is not essential but it is advantageous if this individual has Kerridge systems knowledge as well as the use of sage accounts 50.
