Family Contact Worker£15+ hourly rate
Trafford Council are currently looking to recruit a family contact worker to supervise contact sessions between vulnerable children, young people and their families. These children are looked after by the Local Authority and Contact sessions will take place at the Contact Centre in Trafford and in the community.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
To carry a caseload of vulnerable children and young people (0-16 aged) and their families that requires supervised contact, to ensure safeguarding of the children and young people is a priority at all times.
To organise and co-ordinate contacts activities e.g. cinema within the community ensuring that appropriate Risk Assessments are in place and adhered to.
To supervise and record (video) final contact sessions with children and their families when adoption is part of the childs plan.
To attend Court to give evidence on the nature of contact sessions, the level of attachment and the relationship between the child and parent/significant other when required.
To work in partnership with other agencies and professionals including social workers, providing reports that will form part of their parenting assessments.
