Job summary
My client has rapidly grown to become one of the countrys premier suppliers in the natural food ingredients and flavour solutions sector. Based in Northamptonshire, they are an in-demand provider of Oleoresins, Essential Oils, Clean label ingredients, Natural Colouring Solutions, Encapsulated Flavours and Spices.Due to business growth, they are now looking for a Senior Account Manager to join their team, to grow their sales of flavours, food colours and other food ingredients, with the potential for the right person to take on a broader management role within 3 years.
Role:
* You will be responsible for sales of flavours, colours, essential oils, oleoresins and other value-added food ingredients to the UK food and beverage sector.
* You will manage a portfolio of accounts and be responsible for building strong client relationships, developing account management strategies, coordinating with internal teams to deliver solutions that meet clients' needs, and identifying opportunities to grow accounts within the food and beverage sector
* You will maintain and grow volumes, revenue & profit with both existing and new customers for flavours, food colours and other food ingredients
Sales and Marketing
* Implementing strategies to drive revenue and ultimately business growth within the account portfolio.
* Manages the overall sales process of existing and new customers.
* Business development of new accounts within the UK across all sectors including the Food, Consumer Care and Perfumery.
* Working closely with all departments including, Purchasing, NPD, Technical and Supply chain to build relationships for new business.
* Develop and implements effective marketing strategies to support the growth of the business, including trade exhibitions.
Technical & Quality.
* Oversee and support the Technical Manager to meet all relevant industry accreditations to meet the Quality standards, such as BRC, ISO.
* Support the Technical Manager with our customer enquiries efficiently and recognise that this is the number one priority to retain and drive sales.
* Co-ordinates and maintains effective management of the technical / quality function, both internally and externally.
Requirements:
* You will have at least 5 years experience working in a commercial role selling flavours, colours or other value-added ingredients into the UK food and beverage sector.
* You will have strong clients and relationship management building relationships across all levels with organisations within the UK Food and beverage sector.
* You will have strong entrepreneurial skills and a natural ability to spot opportunities for revenue generation.
* You will have industry experience of working with customers NPD departments and seeing projects from concept to launch.
* You will have a sound knowledge of flavour and ingredient applications across the food industry to be able to engage with customers and present new products ideas to all levels within organisations.

This is a home based position with travel to customers in the UK and a requirement to be in the Northamptonshire office c2 days a week
