Job summary
We are working in partnership with a large manufacturing business based in East Lancashire, who are looking to recruit a Financial Controller to join their regional management team and provide detailed Group reporting and cohesive operational structure across the site. The business is part of global organisation, and they have expansion plans over the coming years, which will involve tighter organic growth and possible further acquisitions.As Financial Controller your role will involve: -
Report the company financials on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis up to Group with full transparency and accountability.
Manage the cashflow forecasting and re-forecasting process, developing controls where necessary and managing timeframes with both internal and external stakeholders.
Maintaining fixed asset register and undertaking periodic inspections across the departments.
Works closely with the Managing Director always ensuring smooth running of the site on both a financial and operational basis; enhancing productivity, developing a proactive and positive culture and high level of organisational outputs.
Supervise the finance team, supporting personal growth and development and continue the positive team culture.
Supervise all transactional processing and controls across purchase ledger, sales ledger and payroll for the site making sure reporting is timely and accurate.
Produce all the Statutory reporting ensuring full compliance, liaising with auditors for the year end.
Create and present site financial forecasts around company performance and projections on a weekly and monthly basis.
Understand and develop transparency around billing, materials, and stock balances in line with multiple product lines.

As the candidate will get exposure to a true 360 role involving finance, operations, sales, and commercial involvement, yet you will also gain corporate responsibilities and Group reporting on an international level.
Ideally you will already have some knowledge of mergers/acquisitions and strong financial reporting experience with all elements of commercial and financial reporting, looking to step up and lead form the front as the go person in the business. You will be fully qualified CIMA/ACA/ACCA with previous post-qualifying exposure at a senior level within a mid-tier organisation. There is the chance to grow further within the organisation dependent on your personal goals, however autonomy is high in this role, so you will certainly be able to make a difference and support the future growth as key decision maker.
